# Adding the access token

Once you've installed the Beautiful Maps - Mapbox plugin, you'll need to add the access token you generated when you [registered for a Mapbox account](/beautiful-maps-mapbox/getting-started/registering-for-a-mapbox-account.md).

Copy the access token from your Mapbox dashboard and add it to both the **Token** and **Token - dev.** fields:

You do **not** need to use separate access tokens for the two fields - the same one will work in both.
