# Activating Stripe Connect

In order to use Stripe Connect in the template, you will need to register for a Stripe account and **activate Stripe Connect**.

You will first need to register for a Stripe account. You can then activate Stripe Connect by selecting 'Connect' under the 'More' section of your Stripe Dashboard.

Click on the 'Get started with Connect' button to start the registration process:

There are a number of steps you'll need to complete to complete the registration process:

Not all of these steps are mandatory, but you will notice the 'Complete your platform profile' step is something you must do.
