# Activating Stripe Connect

In order to use the Stripe Connect - Marketplace plugin, you will need to register a Stripe account **and activate Stripe Connect**.

You can activate Stripe Connect by selecting 'Connect' under the 'More' section of your Stripe Dashboard.

Click on the 'Get started with Connect' button to start the registration process:

There are a number of steps you'll need to complete to complete the registration process:

Not all of these steps are mandatory, but you will notice the 'Complete your platform profile' step is something you must do.
